Narnia, Greek Sing, and foo

Saw Narnia last night with Alisa. It's an amazing film. The battle scenes weren't over done, when they easily could have been. It's been a while (4 years) since I read the book, but it seems to follow it very well from what I remember. It's amazing how good special effects are getting... you can't tell that Azlan (sp?) isn't a real lion. Wheee.

Tonight is Greek Sing. With the amount of homework I have, I really shouldn't go, but meh.

I've gotten combinatorics 1/2 "done" (assuming my proofs are correct and rigorous enough), 18100 1/6 done, and 15312 3/10 done. My 213 shell only passes traces 0-4... not sure why it's failing with background jobs.

Must do more homework work work work work.

*Disagrees*

I thought that the books were kid-focused, and Lewis didn't describe the gruesome battles like, say, Tolkein did in LotR. He didn't censor it, but he told it like one would describe a battle to a seven-year-old- in a way to not shock them. I thought the movie passed that line in a "We want this to be like Lord of the Rings" motive. Obviously, there are parallels between the books, but the battles in the movie could have been toned down.

That said, the rest of the movie ruled.
