Today was the interview with Microsoft. I wanted this job. I screwed up the interview. I have no chance at this job. Dammit. I'm going to be kicking myself over this for weeks, especially after the rejection letter comes. I fail I fail I fail I fail I fail I fail I fail I fail I fail I fail.
It was such an easy technical question too... but I just couldn't get it. I havn't had enough experience with manipulating ASCII characters. GAAH!
I'm just no good. And when I am good, I'm just not good enough. I'll never be good enough.
...
*watches more people make posts about having more internship offers than they know what to do with*
*wishes he could be good enough for even one company to hire*
:(
Edit: I'm feeling better about things now, at least. The Fog Creek interview went very well (I got the question, more or less, after a bit of prompting to simplify my solution). I also found out I got a 100% on my 312 midterm, which means I'm currently doing very well in that class. And, on top of that, I'm now on Spring Break, so I'm free for over a week. Yay!
*sigh*
I still regret screwing up Microsoft, but Fog Creek seems more interesting in some ways... less structure, but more personal and you have a bigger role in product implementation. I mean, I was interviewed by the company founder himself. That's pretty neat.
