Moo-ving on out
Had to put moo in there ;) Well, I am switching webhosts. I will be registering the new host tonight, and putting in for a transfer tonight or tomorrow. If everything goes okay, I will repropogate the domain Friday evening, meaning my site should be fully functional again (on the new server) by Sunday. Don't expect any updates until Tuesday though because I will be in Pittsburgh.
So please, do not post anything on the forums until Sunday, at the earliest.

Edt: Ignore everything above. I've decided not to switch. Below is the post I made at PinchPenny following the decision:

Well, for the second time in 5 months, I was seriously considering switching webhosts. In fact, I had the order form all filled out and ready to submit. Then I changed my mind again.
Why?
The other host is kinda rude.
For example: I accidently sent an email asking them a question three times. It was a total accident. Anyone would understand, right? Well, they got mad at me and said how it was rude and I should be more considerate--for 10 minutes straight.
Every time I ask them a question, they keep on referring me to their knowledge base or emails they've sent, when it would actually take them less time to type out the answer. I mean, yeah, it may be "rude" of me to keep asking the same thing over and over, but I'm asking over and over because I want to ensure what I'm getting is what I need. A lot of times, I'll even ask questions that I already know the answer to just beacuse I want to make sure I understand. Apparently, that's a nono.
Oh yes, and they got mad at me for using two different chat mediums (AIM and MSN). I can understand that it's hard to keep track of and all, especially if you've got thousands of clients, but it's my choice to use both! I didn't even plan to use the MSN one until they IMed me first (MSN tells you whose buddy lists you've been added to). Meh.
I mean, I know a lot of it is my fault too. I DID send the email three times, and I DID keep on asking the same questions over and over, but just something about the way they responded seemed insincere, like they were trying to get rid of me. And they kept on saying "Not to be rude..." like Simon Cowell. And I hate Simon Cowell.
Anyway, despite what everyone else may think (since a lot of people seemed to have abandoned PinchPenny), despite the fact that the other host was cheaper, despite the fact that they responded faster, and despite the fact that they seemed more stable, I'm not going to be switching.
Cathy, I want to thank you for everything you've done. You may not be as fast as everyone else, but you definetly make up for it with your attitude and kindness.
Don't ever change.
PinchPenny rules!

right on, alan. that is DEFINITELY the right move (or non-move, as the case may be). seriously, there is no need to put up with rudeness from businesses. they are there to cater to YOU, and if they don't do the best job possible, it is your job as consumer to select someone else.

in other words... um... shine on, you crazy diamond!

Hmm, I hope you get this, but what was the other host you were planning on moving to because I'm thisclose to moving. Unlike you I haven't received answers to my questions here, so I can't even say that much. Alright, thanks.
