Important notices
A whole bunch of important stuff for AlanvDotOrg visitors to read:
I may be transferring hosts tomorrow. I found one with insane prices ($60/year for 1600 MB/50 GB), and very very responsive and personalizes support (like PinchPenny's). If I do, this will take place tomorrow evening, which means no updates for at least two days. Which brings me to...
I will be in Pittsburgh from Friday until Monday this weekend, looking at Carnegie-Mellon University (my current first choice). If the transfer DOES take place, this means there will be no updates until Tuesday, at the earliest.
Okay, so two doesn't count as a "whole bunch" of notices, but they're both important. In other news, my hard drive is completely full from the video I've been taking this week. Wonder what happens when a hard drive fills up? You get a whollleee lot of alerts onscreen, your computer grinds to a halt, and the taskbar icons blink and alert you that "There is very little free drive space available on drive F:/" Gee, thanks. That's just more memory you're taking up to add that icon to the taskbar :-\ Anyway, it's okay now. It's amazing how much space 90 minutes of video take up though. Besides that, nothing much going on this week. If I do move hosts, I will make one final journal entry tomorrow before the move, so check back.
