Dark Side of the Moon - Ch 9
Well, this is it. The final chapter. Enjoy!

The Dark Side of the Moon
Chapter Nine
Based on an RP by Alan and David

James slowly opened his eyes. Where was he? Everything around him was black. Pitch black. He struggled to sit up before realizing he was laying on his stomach on a very lumpy bed. He looked down, realizing that it wasn't a bed at all--he was on the surface of the moon. Panic gave way to disbelief as he tried to stand and realized he couldn't. And it was so cold... A faint light in the distance caught his eye. The colony! He headed toward it as fast as he could.

Talyon slowly opened his eyes. What time was it?
A quick glance at the clock told him it was already 0700. Dammit, he was late. Or was it Saturday? He searched his memory, trying hard to remember what he had done the day before, except he couldn't seem to recall anything....
A page over the intercom system interrupted his thoughts. They were having trouble with the lighting systems. Some sort of malfunction. He was supposed to go outside and investigate. He sighed, pulling on his clothes and work uniform before heading to the nearest airlock and out onto the surface.
He headed to the nearest lighting conduits. Someone, or something, seemed to be standing near them. He moved closer, his movements catching the creature's eyes. It turned and stared at him, its blonde fur standing on end. Talyon stopped, fearing for his life. Yet, somehow, it didn't seem like it would attack him. It seemed like someone Talyon knew... he recognised that expression... those eyes...
He shook the thought out of his head. He didn't know anyone even vaguely resembling that...thing. Casting a quick glance behind him, he headed back to the airlock as fast as he could. At least he had found out the source of the problem. All that was left was to send out an extermination team. These strange creatures had been attacking the colony for years.

Well, it's done. Kinda short. Really confusing. I'm open to suggestions on how to improve it though... I'm so tired right now that I don't really know what I'm writing. Meh.
