Sunday October 12, 2003 Restructuring
Well, I'm leaving for California within the hour to go and look at colleges. Fun, no? I probably won't be able to update or anything for a few days because I won't have internet (unless the hotel is nice and provides it).

Anyway, here's briefly why I think the PPA restructuring could be a good thing:

Basically, the restructuring would make us a program of McClintock. However, we basically already ARE a program of McClintock, and always have been, the difference being that we're not allowed any of the benefits of such. For example, all our test scores count to McClintock. Anytime we need to enter our college board code for our home campus, guess which one we select? McClintock of course. Face it, we're part of McClintock like it or not. If we integrate, we'd be allowed to share teachers (a major plus) as well, and we wouldn't be discriminated against like we are now for being "a seperate school" and "elitist." Yeah, the original premise of the school was a seperate school. However, that isn't happening anytime soon if at all. Pretty much the only way to keep PPA open is to integrate it.
